the swaps that make it work
all-purpose flour only
→ all-purpose + whole wheat flour blend (75:25)
Whole wheat adds fiber and slows glucose spike; steadier energy and blood sugar.
store-bought or quick broth
→ homemade bone broth
Simmered bones release collagen and minerals; supports bone density and joint health.
soy sauce
→ coconut aminos
Lower sodium, lower sugar; gentler on blood sugar and fluid balance during menopause.
neutral oil + butter (if used)
→ extra-virgin olive oil
Polyphenol-rich; supports heart health and reduces inflammation.
pork belly or fatty cuts
→ skinless chicken breast
Lean protein reduces saturated fat; supports muscle without excess calories.
