Hot Flash Cook Spinach Shumai

ingredients

  • 12 oz ground pork (93% lean)
  • 3 cups fresh spinach, finely chopped
    bone density (I'm shrinking!)memory & focus
  • 3 tbsp coconut aminos
    blood sugar & pre-diabetes
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 24 shumai wrappers (or whole wheat if available)
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil for steaming basket

method

  1. Mix pork, spinach, coconut aminos, sesame oil, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, and green onions in a bowl until combined.
  2. Place 1 tbsp filling in center of each wrapper. Gather edges and pinch at top, leaving opening.
  3. Arrange on parchment-lined steamer basket. Steam over boiling water for 8–10 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Serve hot with coconut aminos or chili oil for dipping.
