the swaps that make it work
1 lb dried trofie pasta
→ 8 oz chickpea trofie pasta
Chickpea pasta nearly doubles protein and triples fiber while keeping the same familiar trofie shape, which is especially important for bone density and steady energy to reduce hot-flash triggers.
Optional: 1 lb baby potatoes, ½ kept as potato
→ 1 lb baby potatoes, fully included in the dish
Baby potatoes are naturally lower glycemic than larger varieties and add volume and satiety; the traditional pairing grounds the dish and the fiber from potatoes + green beans + chickpea pasta supports steady energy through hot flashes.
